Terms of Service

1. Agreement

Kintel (“the Service”) is operated by Kinos (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Kintel is

Kintel is a web application for endurance athletes: it analyzes your training, nutrition, and health data in one place and provides AI-assisted coaching, planning, and an opt-in athlete community.

3. Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • Provide accurate account information and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Tell us at support@kintel.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Your data stays yours

  • You own the data you bring to Kintel — your activities, metrics, meals, goals, and files. You grant us only the license needed to store, process, and display that data to operate the Service for you, including sending content you submit to the AI providers described in the Privacy Policy.
  • You can export everything and delete your account, completely and immediately, from Settings › Account — no email required, no waiting period.
  • Read access to your own data is never locked behind a subscription. If your plan lapses, you can still view and export what you brought.
  • Disconnecting an external service deletes the stored credential and keeps everything you imported.

5. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are billed through Stripe, monthly or yearly. Current prices are on the pricing page.
  • Every plan starts with a 21-day free trial. You are not charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
  • Plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime; paid features remain available until the end of the period you paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are not refunded.
  • Writing new data (uploads, logging) requires an active plan; reading and exporting your existing data does not.
  • If prices change, we will tell you in advance; changes apply from your next renewal.

6. AI features

Kintel’s analysis and coaching are built to be honest with you: estimated values are labeled as estimates, implausible sensor readings are flagged, and the coach is designed not to state numbers it didn’t look up. Even so, AI output can be wrong. Macro estimates are estimates; training suggestions are suggestions. Use your judgment, especially around numbers that matter to you.

7. Not medical advice

Kintel is a training tool, not a medical service. Nothing in the Service — including AI coach responses, readiness signals, nutrition targets, and health trends — is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified professional before making decisions about your health, and before starting or changing a training or nutrition program, particularly if you have a medical condition. If something feels wrong during training, stop and seek medical help.

8. Community

  • The community is opt-in. You control whether your activities are visible and to whom; nothing is shared until you opt in and choose a visibility.
  • Be decent. No harassment, hate, impersonation, doxxing, or spam in comments, handles, or profiles.
  • Keep competition fair — leaderboard times come from real rides. We may remove efforts, segments, or content that undermine that.
  • We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules. Deleting your account removes your community footprint; segments you created remain (other athletes have efforts on them) but are anonymized.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or violate others’ rights using the Service;
  • access other athletes’ non-public data or probe, scan, or test the Service’s security;
  • scrape the Service, abuse rate limits, or use automation to bulk extract content other than your own data export;
  • resell or white-label the Service without our agreement;
  • upload content you don’t have the right to share, or anything malicious.

10. Third-party services

Connections to external services (currently intervals.icu) are optional, governed by those services’ own terms, and read-only on our side — Kintel never writes to your connected accounts. We are not responsible for third-party services or for changes they make.

11. Termination

  • By you: delete your account anytime in Settings › Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
  • By us: we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk for other users, or abuse the Service. Unless the violation prevents it, we will tell you why and give you the chance to export your data first.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that analysis results are accurate or complete.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kinos will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we will say so in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new terms. The date at the top is always current.
